Training and Experience
Education
Dr Vora had learnt basic and the highest principals of life and human kind from early childhood. He had his all the schooling at very famous Sheth C N Vidyalaya, Ahmedabad wherein he had started building a strong foundation for best doctor practices. He gave his services as scribe for the blind people.
Experience in India
Dr Vora graduated from Smt NHL Medical College, Ahmedabad in 1999 and was awarded three gold medals and stood first in college during his MBBS exams. He pursued his postgraduate training in Paediatrics at B J Medical College and Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad. He was awarded Diploma Paediatrics in 2001 wherein he stood first in Gujarat University and was awarded M.D. Paediatrics in 2002. He developed a keen interest in Paediatric Neurology during his postgraduate training. So, he went to UK for further training in Paediatric Neurology.
International experience
Dr Vora has received five years of higher specialist training in Paediatric Neurology at University Hospitals, Nottingham and Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Edinburgh. He was awarded CCT (Certificate of Completion of specialist Training) in Paediatric Neurology by Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and PMETB, UK. Dr Vora's name was recommended to be on the list of the Specialist register of General Medical Council UK as an accredited Paediatric Neurologist. He is the first from state of Gujarat to get accredited for such recognition by GMC. During his higher specialist training in Paediatric Neurology he developed immense interest in area of Epilepsy. He joined as post CCT (consultant) fellow in complex epilepsy at the world famous Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and Institute of Child Health (ICH) London where he received worlds best training in complex epilepsy management including area of epilepsy surgery for twelve months. He started his work as a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist and Epileptologist at Great Ormond Street Childrens Hospital, London. He had extensive training and experience in all childhood and adolescence neurological conditions. He is an expert in management of Paediatric Epilepsies. He has presented scientific papers in many international scientific conferences. For his dedication and contribution to field of Paediatrics and Paediatric Neurology, Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, UK has awarded him with prestigious FRCPCH.
Current position
He is currently working as Consultant Paediatric Neurologist and Epileptologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London which is a world-renowned centre of excellence. He is also giving his services at National Centre for Young People with Epilepsy (NCYPE) for children with complex neurological needs.
